Client Specialist- Finance and Accounting

Job Description

The accountant will be responsible for performing various accounting-related duties and working closely with the director of finance, controller, assistant controller, and the accounting team to achieve organizational goals.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Reconciliation of bank accounts and preparation of journals

  • Review daily journals and reports.

  • Reconcile sub-ledgers.

  • Reconcile accounts receivable and accounts payable, aging.

  • Follow up with internal and external stakeholders to clear aged items.

  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly financial statements.

  • Assist with US tax calculations.

  • Support the processing of biweekly, multi-state payroll with a payroll partner, including balancing and reconciling all payroll figures.

  • Support off-cycle processing and credit payment card activities.

  • Maintain all contracts, leases, and other legal and financial records

  • Analyze and reconcile chargebacks.

  • Be a team-player


Job Requirements

  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts.

  • Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and planning skills

  • Able to conduct tasks independently and accurately.

  • Ability to manage time and energy in an efficient, effective, and organized manner

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Ability to maintain strict adherence to confidentiality requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in accounting or finance

  • MBA Finance/M.com/ CA inter.

Experience

  • 5 to 7 years of minimum experience in general accounting

  • Experience in a multinational organization or shared services environment will be an advantage.
